Open source · MIT & Apache-2.0

Run coding agents on hardware you control.

Autopilot is the agent. Hotcell is the sandbox it runs in. Our local coding model is the next layer. Source code and API keys stay on your machines.

    Autopilot · coding agent

A coding agent you can point at any model, including your own.

A terminal coding agent and programmable SDK. Run any of 400+ models through OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host.

    • Plan, edit and auto modesRead-only research, approve each change, or full autonomy.
    • Subagents in HotcellParallel investigations in isolated sandboxes.
    • Local memorySQLite and embeddings, stored on your machine.
    • Headless SDKcreateAgentSession and JSONL RPC.
    zsh — autopilot

    Hotcell · agent sandboxes

Sandboxes for AI agents, on your own hardware.

As many isolated sandboxes as a machine can hold. Agents get short-lived tokens. Your real keys stay on the host.

    • Key-swapping gatewayMetered, spend-capped and revocable per sandbox.
    • Containers or microVMsDocker, Firecracker, or Apple Virtualization.
    • Admission controlLive CPU, memory and cost per sandbox. No over-subscribing.
    • Default-deny egressKernel-enforced on Linux and microVMs.
    zsh — hotcell

    How a run works

Your API keys never enter a sandbox.

Autopilot sends research to subagents. Each runs in its own Hotcell sandbox with a short-lived token. The gateway on your machine swaps that token for the real key on the way out.

    • Revocable per sandboxKill one token without touching the others.
    • Metered and cappedSpend limits per sandbox and per run.

    Research · in training

A coding model small enough to run where your code lives.

We are pretraining a specialized coding model for Autopilot's tool-calling loop. The goal is a model a team runs on one machine, so no source code goes to a third-party API.
